Tactically speaking, what did you find different from a game at a regular points value?  And could you guys post your lists?

Tactically,my plan was simple, give up or use RxB to slow down one-side and over-power aflank and hold the middle. With two tables and the way the terrain was placed, note: we made all terrain mundane we thought it was going to be hard enough toplay the game let alone trying to remember what the terrain was, that plan was executable in theory.  There was a lot more maneuver room than I thought there would be.
One of the interesting by products was the middle being divided like it was. If either units holding the others big units (e.g. the greatswordmens vs the black guard)had broken to early those big units could have turned and flanked. I was the in the most dangerous position since not only were my big units there but my main magic and command units were there as well. As it would work out my overpowering units on the right ended up being too far away to make it to thecenter. So the empire units would have caught me out of position and in themiddle of a vise.

The stars of my army were the RxB units with shields they got to shoot then rank-up and likeI said at one point even do a desperate charge with Harpies, both making theirterror test, to provide a speed bump for the empire knights.  The rockstars however where the two RBT that fought off attack from two knights on fliers – they were in a build lost the fight had to back out then take six shots at close range and pop goes the knights. So I traded a 100 pt RBT for 2 knights on fliers…

One last thing there were a number of rules and abilities that I suspect we both forgotabout. As an example – the Banner of Nagarythe not only does it givean extra combat resolution, if you are within 12"but it also make a unit unbreakable. I frankly forgot that, as an example the corsairs would have never broken. There were others – but the flow and sprit of the game made it so it really did not matter. I'm sure John had similar situations. One more misplay RoH it was played as if the spell was an irresistible force when as I read the rules that is not the case. But it worked out that it did not materially affect the game. I think we went to the rule book only three or four times…

Posting my list might be a bit difficult if you want to see it I'll be more than happy topdf and email it to you.

For me tacticly it was refreshing to be able to use those huge units of Knights and still have big infantry blocks to back them up. Turns out niether unit needed the help as one fled like cowards and the other just ran rough shod over anything in it's path. The horde of greatswords turned out to be a major player much more so than I thought they would. There was a number of things I forgot. One of my charaters had the Sword of Fate which I forgot to call out in the begining. A couple of other Items I forgot about that might have helped, but I doubt it. The RBTs holding up and killing both Captains was just downright embarrasing   . Twice I assulted the building and failed to kill two freaking crew members! Ah well as Rudedog says..."That's why we roll the dice". It's very difficult to remember everything your troops are carrying and all the little items you brought at that many points though. All in all it was great to see two huge armies on the table like that....and stupid me forgot to take pics!
