Finished Rudy's Outriders, five complete and two top halves.
Painted a little of the base colors on the Legion Abomination what'sit.
Didn't get much done today because I played online for 3-4 hours.
Watched some old X-files as I painted the Outriders. I gotta say, TV shows are the best for painting, they're mostly talking heads and once you've seen Mulder and Scully respectfully disagree with each other over the origins of some alien hybrid baby you've seen em all. So I can mostly listen and don't need to look up too much, and the plot moves right along.
I've found the kinds of shows
not to watch are are action films, films with sporadic nudity, and foreign films. With action films, there's so much movement on the screen you can't help but look up occasionally as a spinning heel flashes across the screen. It's sharp movement out of the corner of your eye, basically, you can't help but look. Plus you wanna know how the guys head got where it was, and if you're eyes aren't glued that thing whips right off and gets lodged places without you even seeing it.
Foreign films should be self explanatory, I can't paint and read subtitles. And films with sporadic nudity, well, similar principle to action films.
Resident Evil: Extinction is a good example, flash of green naked person on the screen, look up from model, was that a naked person in that big green tube? Blur of movement, look up from model, who the heck has a crossbow?
RE:E wasn't bad for some color schemes, though. Most zombie movies tend to either have too much blood or take place almost entirely in the dark. This one was in a desert, during the day. Granted there was a slight yellow filter to enhance the 'deserty' feel, but still I generally go blue/teal or green with my zombie flesh hues, and the brown/yellow/pink wasn't a bad palette for zombie flesh.
I'm considering the Pulk of Tzarina Kattarin for my next Undead army, figure some washed out red, weathered browns, and that yellow/pink skin for the zombies which should go well with the dead grass. And some dark dark almost red for blood.
And that's why my Goblin army is dead

Heck last night I was looking at some Gnoblar heads and thinking with some clips here and there, and a little green stuff they could be zombified...
You may call me Bob.
